Trips from Amsterdam
Heusden, the Netherlands
When travelling to the Netherlands, many tend to visit only Amsterdam and a few other attractions like Zaanse Schans, Kinderdijk or Keukenhof. I know it’s a matter of time and if you are making a Europe trip you only have time to see the highlights in the Netherlands, but the Netherlands has so much to offer. And then there comes the question: what places shall I visit besides Amsterdam?
In my series “A day trip from Amsterdam – …” I will help you find an inspiration to discover this small country. Basically, you can visit all places in the Netherlands in one day if you are based in Amsterdam. Yes, the country is that small! Sometimes, you will need a car, sometimes you can do this by public transport, but yes, everything is doable in a day! Of course, you can always extend your stay with a night or two and make a short trip out of it.
